Ballice Smart Devices Pvt. Ltd. had previously achieved the ZED Bronze Certification as a new path taken in the direction of sustainability. Following this direction, we appointed a team that was formed for the purpose of reducing waste and scrap generation, improving waste management, finding out inefficient sections of our production chain and think of ways to save energy. We also assigned a skilled quality team that regularly scrutinize the quality of our water coolers mid-production and after-production, the main purpose being correction of production process before the defects occur. Through this we regularly identified problem zones in our factory and made a list of the problems and their order of correction and urgency based on our resources.
Making these improvements not only prepared us for the next level of the certification but it improved the way our workforce operated. We are mindful about safety than ever before and injuries have been brought to a minimum because of better organization and scheduling. Every single employee remembers the power saving guidelines and this has improved their habits in the company as well as at home. Each team member is following schedules properly as assigned by their superiors and the work schedule is much easier to reach as compared to previously. Our organizational capabilities have improved vastly making better usage of the area that is available to us. We have become more efficient with inventory thus also resulting in a higher production capacity. Water coolers are checked much more thoroughly and our customers are more satisfied with the quality with complaints at an all time low rate. This journey to become better comes with each day of smaller corrections in the right direction.
Being an MSME we know how difficult it is to make changes to established production guidelines and raw materials when they are working and results are being achieved.
